Mountainpulse is actually just me, Dave Hollinger. I am a full-time freelance British Mountain Guide and Mountaineering Instructor. I live in Sheffield, in the Peak District but my work is pretty varied, so you might be just as likely to find me in Scotland, the Alps or sometimes further afield.

I work privately with both individuals and groups - beginners through to experts, so whether you are starting out, improving, or already at an advanced level I look forward to helping you progress and achieve your ambitions, however big or small.

You might also find me working for other organisations including Peak Mountain Training; Alpine-Guides and ISM but if you are after something specific please contact me directly.

I hold both the IFMGA Carnet (the highest level of mountaineering qualification worldwide) and the UK's MIC (Mountain Instructor Certificate). Additionally, I am an experienced trainer and assessor for the awards administered by MLTE via Peak Mountain Training.

But having these qualifications is just part of the picture. You benefit, not just from the highest level of professionalism, but also the real experience and enthusiasm that I've collected over the last 15 years as a climber and mountaineer.
